Here is a nice little Cu Mai (Copper Damascus) whittling knife. The blade was formed by stacking multiple layers of thin high carbon steel and copper together, and then forge welding into a solid billet. Even though the blade is small, if you look closely, you can see all of the layers within the steel. The handle was made out of locally sourced Maple from a tree that had been cut and was starting to go through the spalting process. It was then dried and vacuum stabilized in epoxy. The grain structure is beautiful in this wood. The tang is a partial tang set with a Brass pin. The sheath is composed of 2 bonded layers of full grain leather (4 layers total), with a simple stitch and 2 Chicago bolts. This is a great little carving knife for around a camp fire and pack's light.

DISCLAIMER: PLEASE READ!
When it comes to purchasing a blade or any of my products, you assume all responsibilities for the safe handling and proper care of the item. A lot of these items are made from natural materials or materials that require regular upkeep to maintain their appearance, as heavy usage, UV, moisture and other elements can all cause damage and degradation over time. All Damascus steel is etched in acid or other etchant to reveal the blade pattern. Heavy use and/or scrubbing of the blade will wear down the etch over time, making the pattern harder to see, so be aware of this before making a purchase as a monosteel blade may be better suited for your intended use. Furthermore, all high carbon steels are prone to rust if left damp or wet, so always wipe clean after use, keep dry, and apply a dab of oil (olive/canola works fine) to the blade whenever possible. Leather will also dry out over time and will require treating with mink oil or other suitable products to maintain its flexibility and water resistance.
I aspire to maintain the highest workmanship standards with my products, as I have worked hard to maintain a good brand loyalty and reputation with my customers. That being said, I am only human, and sometimes something may slip through the cracks. If this happens, or you have any concerns about anything you've purchased, don't hesitate to reach out to me so I can try to resolve any issue you may have.
Thank you for you purchase and enjoy.
